NEUIGKEITEN · 2026.02.05

New York Comic Con is the largest entertainment exhibition in North America, attracting over 200,000 visitors per year. It serves as a flagship event that offers attendees valuable insights into the content market trends and fandom culture.

This year, there was significant interest in the Korea Pavillion, a booth sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, which featured major companies across diverse categories, including webcomics, characters, games and XR content.

The export fair held prior to the event also offered a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness of K-content among international buyers as well as develop new business channels.

With this year marking NAVER WEBTOON’s second consecutive year at NYCC, the focus was on raising awareness through showcasing an expanded slate of content, ranging from original series such as Teenage Mercenary and Omniscient Reader to the popular characters from its North American partners.
